Back when the whole cloning debate had just started in the media, I remember reading an article where they had talked with one of the scientists involved with the Dolly project. He had mused about the possibility of cloning a human being and then went off on a tangent about cloning Jesus.
"Why not?" he asked. "If we could find the DNA, it would be an amazing thing to accomplish. But can you imagine the horrors that such a feat would create? I mean, what if Jesus turned out to be just a man and nothing more? Or if Jesus wasn't raised like he was in the Bible and never realized his true destiny? Such an accomplishment would only bring immense yet equal amounts of wonder and terror. Hence, even if we could, we probably wouldn't even want to."
The scientist then concluded the conversation by saying that it would still make a great book.
