WRUW Cleveland 91.1 FM
The campus radio station for Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. As of this writing their 15,000 watt transmitter makes them "the most powerful college radio station in Ohio." True to the typical college radio format, the genre changes radically between shows, which makes for interesting listening. There are no ads, just public service announcements. Because they are located in a big university on the edge of a big city with a big transmitter, they are able to attract enough DJ interest to maintain programming on the air 24 hours a day. In addition to the large area their FM broadcasts reach, their website at http://www.wmfo.org provides live mp3 streams as well as weekly mp3 archives for download.
One motto you might hear on the air there is "More Music - Fewer Hits." So if you like music from outside of the mainstream, check it out.
