I actually have an old 45 of this (remember, with the big holes in the middle??}. Yes, it was Rolf Harris. Interestingly, his website leaves out a verse that was on the original 45:

Gee, I can't imagine why this isn't still part of the canon! I remember it not because of its content, but because I married a guy named Bruce. (I let him go loose)

I remember this song as being from the late 50's, about the same time as "One-Eyed, One-Horned, Flying Purple People Eater". Nostalgia for the '50s always amazes me: the martinis, the kidney shaped tables, the drive-ins with car hops on roller skates, the unabashed racism.
