The name under which
Julie Doiron recorded some
beautiful stuff I call music. She began writing her own songs around 1993, halfway into the career of
Eric's Trip - they were
Canadian and they were on
Sub Pop, need I say more? She played their bass. They broke up in 1996.
That year she released a solo album, self-titled Broken Girl. The name might well have been a reflection of all the kids who flocked to her shows - indie rock culture at its most soft and wonderful. It was released on Sappy Records. Sigh.
