Doctor: The Tenth Doctor.

Season Two Donna Noble is a loud, pushy woman from Chiswick, England in the 21st Century. Although she only appears in one full story and makes a cameo appearance in another episode, the BBC counts her as an official companion of The Doctor.

She made a surprise appearance on the bridge of the TARDIS in the last scene of season two. A surprise for her because the last thing she knew she was walking up the aisle to be married, and a surprise for The Doctor because he was orbiting a dying sun at the time.

Season Three The quirky cliffhanger was picked up in sp.04, "The Runaway Bride", when it emerged that Donna's body had been saturated with Huon particles. These particles had been drawn to the Huon energy in the heart of the TARDIS, hence her unexpected teleportation.

The Doctor investigated and found that the company she worked for, HC Clements, was actually a cover company for the London Torchwood organisation prior to its destruction in The Battle of Canary Wharf. Beneath the building, The Doctor, Donna and her fiancé, Lance, found a secret laboratory where Huon particles were being created.

It emerged that Donna had been slowly impregnated with the particles as part of a plan to awaken a clan of spider creatures that had been waiting in the centre of the Earth for billions of years. The Doctor, realising that the creatures would destroy mankind, offered them another planet to live on. When the offer was refused, he defeated the creatures by drowning them and returned Donna to her parents' house for Christmas dinner. He offered her a place on the TARDIS but, disturbed by the way he had drowned the aliens, she turned him down. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
