Elwha is the name of a river in the
Olympic National Park running to the north that empties into the
Strait of Juan de Fuca 6 miles west of
Port Angeles. It is approximately 30 miles in length after the forks beginning NE of Mount Meany and W of Mount Anderson. It also has 2 lakes one of which being a
hydroelectric dam, Lake Mills.
There are many trails along this route, some leading to popular spots like Hurricane Ridge and Hume's Ranch.
