| Snowman (golf slang)
Posting a score of eight on a hole (whether it be a par 3,4, or 5). Highly undesireable. Often preceded by one or two shots, either out of bounds or in a water hazard, or a whiff (essentially a missed or ill-struck shot) off of the tee. Often followed by curses i.e. "F---ing Snowman" or "Can't post a low score with a f---ing snowman on the card" |
