A DNS record type as per RFC 1035.

RT in this context is short for route through. It allows one to specify that a certain other host must be contacted in order to reach the desired target hostname. The format of the RT record is very similar to the MX record, which allows one to specify many hosts by which one can route through in order to reach the desired host.
