Public Switched Telephone Network

Ring Ring. Most of the network we call the PSTN is invisble... until it breaks. 64K trunking lines between switching control stations means what? It means 1900Ask4Ass will always be there. And with LNP (Local Number Portability) even after the Y2K disaster, it'll STILL be there. See also POTS.
