Five Combaticons combine to form Bruticus!

Bruticus transforms into the five Combaticons. Can destroy his enemies with ultrasonic waves and smash metal bridges with a single chop of his hand. Cold blooded, likes nothing more than destroying Autobots. Once he starts running wild he is unstoppable. Has small brain circuits, making him simple-minded. Carries a sonic stun gun and a missile cannon.

Bruticus didn't quite have the massive threatening effect that he was supposed to; it must have been his flat chest instead of the enormous upper body mass possessed by Devastator, for example. He was a major improvement on Menasor, though, and so were the Combaticons.
The Combaticons and Bruticus received an excellent introductory storyline in the TV cartoon, beginning with an attempted rebellion by Starscream and ending with Megatron's near-death and the Combaticon's exile from Earth. The vehicles all looked great, even though the robots were somewhat less so. The Protectobots honestly didn't stand a chance.
