An Autobot is a member of the peaceable Transformers race known as Autobots. Usually, Autobots could transform into cars or other land vehicles. This wasn't a hard and fast rule; many Autobots turned into things besides cars, such as Skyfire, who turned into a jet plane; Sky Lynx, who transformed into a space shuttle and a lynx; and Perceptor who turned into a microscope.
Several sub-groups of Autobots existed, such as the Dinobots, the Aerialbots, the Protectobots, and the Technobots.
Famous Autobots include Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Jazz, Rodimus Prime, and Grimlock. |
