Bal-Sagoth is an extreme metal band from England. Their music tells an epic story of swords and sorcery and battle in a fantasy world. Bal-Sagoth has recorded four albums, the first three on Cacophonous Records, the fourth on Nuclear Blast Records (update: fifth album to be released April 2nd on Nuclear Blast Records). The images and stories of Bal-Sagoth are heavily influenced by Robert E. Howard, the author of Conan the Barbarian, and H. P. Lovecraft. The band takes their name from a Robert E. Howard short story.
