Commonly used British expletive, some examples of its use:

"Oh Arse!" - I'm very disappointed.
"Get your arse in gear" - Hurry up.
"Look at he arse on that" - I like his/her bottom.
"You complete arse" - Sir, you are a fool.
"can't be arsed" -

can also freely replace ass in any American phase
"Arsehole" - I take serious exception to you very existence

Also one of the great catchphases of Father Jack Hackett from the UK comedy series Father Ted. To be done properly it shouted in the manner of a drunken old Irish man. Incidently, his other catchphases are Drink!, Feck! and Girls!
