包種茶
A delicate grade of Oolong tea produced in China and Taiwan. Pouchong is only slightly oxidised - enough to replace some of the leafiness of green tea with the richer tones of Oolong, but not enough to bring out a lot of caffeine or make much of a dent in its antioxidant power.
Pouchong has less body than a heavier Oolong like Ti Kuan Yin; it forms the basis of many scented teas, being light enough to carry aromas well but a little stronger than green tea.
The tea originated in the Pinlin region of Taiwan, outside of Taipei. It is sometimes known as Green Oolong Tea.
