The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Where I happen to go to school.
UAH is known for being an engineering school, but we also have a good physics program (especially optics--we're one of the best in the nation)... and, as I found out soon after I came here, a surprisingly good if underfunded music program.
UAH has an interesting history. Founded about 45 years ago, it started with graduate and research programs, and then developed an undergrad program, instead of the other way around (as is common with universities). The undergrad population, especially those who live on campus, has grown explosively in the last decade... housing on campus is getting tight.
Murphy's Law of UAH (due to the male/female ratio): Any intellectually attractive girl who you're interested in will be already taken.
