Intellectually challenging
movie, about two
men who were best
friends when they were
kids. Chuck grew up to become a
music producer and moved to
L.A., and Buck remained at the social and emotional state of an eleven year old.
After Buck's mother dies, he tries to get back in touch with his old friend Chuck (now known as Charles), who has problems dealing with Buck, because of his childish retarded behaviour.
Soon enough the viewer is hinted at the root of the problems. Chuck and Buck had homoerotic experiences together in their childhood, and while Chuck grew up and left these things behind (he's getting married), Buck never learned to deal with it. So we see Buck desperately trying to get closer to Chuck, who tries to avoid his presence.
This movie is both higly interesting and disturbing at the same time.
