I was here, and then I was gone. Now I am back and I am a different person. Over the last nine years I have deeply reinvented myself and very much for the better. I find that I don't connect with the old me's plans, the old me's ideas, so I have registered again, nearly twenty years after the first time.
Since last writing in these halls, I've completed my PhD, moved to France, lost my connection with science as a profession, moved back to Canada, become a professional software developer, changed gender, and become a mom. I am a happier and busier person than I once was but I hope I can contribute a little as I once did to this place that was so important to me for so long.
