I'm a software developer, writer, and teacher. I have worked extensively with higher-level applications (customer service systems, e-commerce systems) and databases--my expertise is in Visual Basic, Transact-SQL, HTML, and related technologies.
I have written extensively for a number of magazines, including spending time as a columnist and/or contributing editor for Data Based Advisor, Internet Security Advisor, Access/VB Advisor, and VB Tech Journal. I have written for a bunch of other magazines, and have one article (on developing distributed applications with DCOM) on the Microsoft Developer Network Library CD-ROM.
I'm an adjunct lecturer (adjunct: adj., from the Latin meaning "doesn't get a faculty parking sticker") at DeSales University (http://www.desales.edu) where I teach E-Commerce concentration classes in the MBA program. I'm also active in local community affairs, most recently with the Lehigh Valley Partnership. I'm also involved with the Eastern States Dressage & Combined Training Association (http://www.esdcta.org), the U.S. Eventing Association (http://www.eventingusa.com), and Equi-Librium (http://www.equi-librium.org), a therapeutic riding program.
