In
film terminology, a
tracking shot is a
film sequence where the
camera is mounted on a
dolly and follows a moving object by moving along a
track of
rails laid out like a small
railway line, (the '
dolly track').
To illustrate this: Imagine walking along the street, keeping your eye on somebody walking in the same direction on the opposite side.
