The benefit of being in the unmarked category, which prevents one from being singled out as the target of homophobia and all its nasty side effects. Straight privilege means people won't mind if you talk to their kids or their spouse, or if you work with them.
With it, you won't get fired, beat up, harassed, or otherwise put-upon because you either are or appear to be straight.
