This term was invented by Dhruba. Live install refers to archiving a program that's already been through its installation process. Main aim was to by-pass the use of Windows temporary storage folders and also put down that nasty InstallShield. This means that when you transport the program to another computer, the program doesn't have to go through it's installation process as it's already been installed (literally). This is useful on computers which doesn't let you use Windows temporary storage folders.
