Globe is a very popular Jpop band which is known for its excellent synthesizer music and the wide variety of genres they cover. Although the lyrics and vocals are typical for Jpop, their music ranges from techno to rock to trance.

Originally, the band was going to be the duo of Marc Panther and Keiko Yamada with Tetsuya Komuro as the producer. When Marc started writing lyrics with Komuro, Komuro decided he wanted to play with the group and eventually joined them. At first the group's name was going to be "Orange" and in order to match Marc thought it would be neat to pain his bedroom walls orange. Then Komuro decided that "globe" was a more interesting name, so Marc re-painted his walls green.

Keiko was originally a singer and she joined globe by auditioning. Marc is from France and is only half Japanese. Before joining globe to do rap, guitar, and back-up vocals, he worked as a rapper and a model. Komuro was a well known music producer in Japan before joining globe and also a synthesizer artist and he now produces globe and plays keyboard for them along with some back-up vocals.
