Squiggle

A squiggle is basically a wavy line, such as might be produced by randomly moving a pen or pencil around on a sheet of paper.

Squiggles are not generally representations of things in the way that doodles are, but rather tend to send no message other than "I'm bored" or "Is there ink in this pen?"

Squig"gle (?), v. i. [Cf. Prov. E. swiggle to drink greedily, to shake liquor in a close vessel, and E. sqig.]

To shake and wash a fluid about in the mouth with the lips closed.
