Rodborough is a parish in the town of Stroud. It is mostly residential, has a few corner-shops (of which none are actually on corners) and two major schools. (Gastrells and Rodborough). It also includes an 18th century fort (a folly), which is situated at the top of the Rodborough common. The common is home to several wild flowers and is very beautiful, commanding views of the Severn and, on a clear day, the Black Mountains.
