The Reformed Church of America (RCA) is the oldest continuously operating religious denomination in the United States.

It was founded in the 1600's by Dutch immigrants. They held services in Dutch exclusively for nearly 200 years thereafter. They founded Hope College to promote Calvinism.

The Christian Reformed Church (or CRC) split off from them because they thought they were too American.
