Portuguese musical group that re-invented fado, distilling its essence and mingling it with other traditional music streams to create an entirely new genre, more appealling to a younger generation. Their music, like fado, has melancholic overtones, but breaks away from the recurring topic of saudade. Oddly enough (to the portuguese at least), they enjoy success in Japan.
