MAX Red Line is one of 2 operational lines in Portland, Oregon's light rail system. It travels from downtown Portland east over the original 1986 MAX alignment (Eastside MAX) to Gateway TC, where it switches over to the 2001 Airport MAX alignment heading north to PDX Portland International Airport.

May 3 2003:

TriMet is planning to extend the Red Line west over the 1998 Westside MAX alignment to a new terminal at the Beaverton TC. This should happen in September 2003.
