Japanese Industrial Standards

Standards created by the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee (JISC). Standards are mostly hardware related, but also includes Shift-JIS, a Japanese font encoding supported by the Japanese edition of Windows.

The JIS mark shown below is used to show a hardware that has JIS compliance and approval from JISC.
