French publishing house established in 1898 by Jean Dupuis. Released the first issue of the weekly comic strip magazine Spirou in 1938 and has continued the magazine up to present day. In 1985 the business was split and sold. The Dupuis family sold all their magazines except Spirou to Editions Mondiales, and sold the printing house, book publishing, television and "Spirou" magazine to the Groupe Bruxelles Lambert. The television rights to the "Smurfs" was sold to Peyo in 1988.
Dupuis has published comics such as Spirou, Young Spirou, Lucky Luke, The Smurfs and Asterix.
