Taiwan's pro-independence Democratic Progressive Party, which in 2000 came into power with the election of candidate Chen Shui-bian, ending the long rule of the KMT in Taiwan begun by Chiang Kai-Shek.

Short for "Det Politiske Parti" or "The Political Party" in English. It is a Norwegian political party, dedicated to do whatever the people want to. The platform is to "be a slave at the parliament" as party president Johan Golden states. It is lead by the two comedians Johan Golden and Atle Antonsen. The party is basically a big joke, and they never intended to get elected. But during the election, they got almost 1% of the votes on a national basis, and nearly got elected for four years to the Storting.
