To corner somebody is to trick them into entering somewhere that they have no clear exits from - except possibly through you. They will corner you if they want something from you.

The point where two converging lines meet; an angle, either external or internal.

The space in the angle between converging lines or walls which meet in a point; as, the chimney corner.

An edge or extremity; the part farthest from the center; hence, any quarter or part.
