A
logical fallacy where the
cause and
effect are correct, but there are
other contributing factors without which the effect would have been much less likely to occur. In a
feedback loop, where the effect is part of the cause, this often applies.
Example: "We lost because you missed the shot." True, but also the other team didn't miss theirs.
To prove the fallacy, show that all the causes are required to produce the effect.
