Not 'the cells which are the components of the body' (see rods and cones) but 'the components of the cell'. It is difficult to appreciate how much stuff is in a microscopic cell. Even tiny prokaryotes carry round alot of tiny machines, but much larger eukaryotes have whole cities worth of constructs and compartments. These are some rough categories:
