Tiny chipsets from Parallax that use a dialect of
BASIC. Perfect for
robotics and simple devices. They have a small code space (256
bytes for the I, 2048 for the II), but amazing things have been squeezed into both versions. With commands to play tones, read resistors and buttons, output
DTMF, serial, and
X-10 they go WAY past mere "smart logic".
Clones that run faster or cost less are available, as are compilers that target the PIC that the stamps use at their core.
