Beautiful blue opaque mineral; occasionally worn as a gemstone, but not terribly often because it's only 3.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. Occasionally seen combined with another copper-containing mineral, green malachite, to form "azurmalachite." The stone is often carved, and sometimes powdered into a pigment for paint.
