Americans love malls, and Oregonians are no exception. Oregon's lack of sales tax also makes it a popular destination for out-of-state shoppers. So, without further ado, here are some of the notable malls in Oregon.

*Clackamas Town Center - Clackamas: Arguably the most prototypical mall in the entire state. Easily accessible from Portland, with several buses and the MAX Green Line running to it. Food court features eateries such as California Pizza Kitchen, The Cheesecake Factory, Panera, Taco Time, and Cinnabon, as well as a carousel and a mini Ferris wheel. Notable tenants: Macy's, JCPenny, H&M, Forever 21, and Victoria's Secret.

*Woodburn Premium Outlets - Woodburn: The largest tax free shopping outlet in the Western United States, Woodburn Premium Outlets is understandably one of Oregon's biggest shopping destinations, attracting shoppers from both Portland and Salem, as well as tourists by the bus-load from out of state. Be prepared for nightmarish traffic jams in the parking lot. Notable tenants: Nike, Adidas, Coach, Michael Kors, and Columbia Sportswear.

*Washington Square - Tigard: Washington Square is a bit tricky to get too, with no MAX line running to it, although TriMet does maintain a bus route. Nevertheless, it is one of the highest-grossing malls per square foot in the country, with sales of $716 per square foot. Food court features eateries such as Taco Time and Sonic. Notable tenants: Nordstrom, Macy's, JCPenny, Apple, and Sephora.

*Bridgeport Village - Tigard: Open-air lifestyle center with cobblestone walkways lined with classic looking street lamps, giving off a very European vibe. A water and fire fountain and a gazebo can be found in the center of the mall. Valet and shuttling services are offered. The open-air design means that shoppers are exposed to rain, however umbrellas are available to borrow for free. Notable tenants: Anthropologie, Apple, Banana Republic, Crate & Barrel, and H&M. Also boasts the largest IMAX theater in the state.

*Valley River Center - Eugene: Finally, we've made our way out of the Portland area. The presence of the University of Oregon gives this mall a boost of life, as its where all the college students go to do their shopping. Notable tenants: Macy's, JCPenny, H&M, Victoria's Secret, and Bath & Body Works. Options for dining include BJ's Restaraunt and Brewhouse, Texas Roadhouse, and Fuji Japanese Steakhouse. Also features a Round One arcade and bowling alley and a Regal Cinemas theater.

*Rogue Valley Mall - Medford: While it may not be as extravagant as the other examples on this list, it's the largest mall for more than 100 miles in any direction. Home to one of the last two Sam Goody stores in the world. Also conveniently located next to a Target and an In-N-Out Burger. Notable tenants: Macy's, JCPenny, H&M, Victoria's Secret, and Bath & Body Works.
