The general plot finds
Royal Tenenbaum (
Gene Hackman) announcing to his estranged family that he has a terminal illness. The family reunites, with Royal's wife, and his three former-prodigy children (a playwright, a tennis player and a financial expert), and their respective families. Surely, hilarity ensues.
