In ancient Greek-Roman times, statues of Aphrodite/Venus were a common item for temples. One famous one was placed in a sacred grove. Several ancient writers commented on its great beauty. And apparently, one day, ovecome by lust, a young man managed to hide inside the grove until the templegoers and priests had disappeared for the night. Some smalltalk, a little mood music, and what usually happens between a young man and an attractive statue happened. So I don't know how theoretical this fetish is.
