A
focus policy. To cause the
window manager to give the
keyboard focus to a
window, you must
click on it.
This is the default on Windows, and also on many window managers on X.
Annoyances:
- Does the click also go to the window? If so, you must be very careful where you click (some windows have lots of insensitive areas; others, like text editors and word processors, have particularly poor interaction with this). Otherwise, you'll probably need to click twice to perform a simple action on another window. You can solve this by clicking on the title bar or window frame, at the price of forcing you to be very careful.
- Need an extra mouse click -- slower!
