Robb Johnson, not to be
confused with the
bluesman
Robert Johnson, was born in
1955. He is a
political folk singer (although
rockier than most), and quite possibly one of the finest
songwriters ever to
grace us with his presence. Think
Bob Dylan if he'd lived through the
Thatcher years. According to his
songbook, '
Words and
Chords' (published in
2000 by
Irregular Records), he began learning guitar at 18 because "
testosterone kicked in" and he thought it would be a good way to "get to Talk To Girls". Album listing is below; more will be added as I hear of them. Clicking on an album will take you to a track listing; clicking on a track will take you to the lyrics.
All by
Irregular Records, except This is the
UK Talking, by
Rhiannon.
