In the Star Wars universe, Figrin D'an is a male Bith musician and the band leader and frontman of the all-Bith 7-piece ensemble Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes. Figrin D'an mostly plays the Kloo horn. Although patrons some prefer his work on the Gasan string drum, it is his deft Kloo horn playing that earned him the nickname "Fiery Figrin."
Although Figrin D'an is described as "overbearing," his exacting standards have led his band to moderate success as a touring group in the Outer Rim planets, such as Tatooine. Figrin D'an is also a compulsive gambler with a special weakness for sabaac, and is known to gamble away his band's earnings without their knowledge.
Most notably, Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes are seen playing their greatest hit, "Mad About Me," at the Cantina at Mos Eisley Spaceport on Tatooine in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.
