Blood, Guts, Bullets, and Octane is a surprisingly good
movie of the Action/Comedy variety (I thought it was going to suck), made for a mere US$8000.00. You can imagine it as a
cross between
Glengarry Glen Ross and
Pulp Fiction
and you won't be far off the mark. A bit of The
Way of the Gun
thrown in too (though it predates TWotG].
Blood, Guts, Bullets, and Octane is the story of
two guys who own a failing used car dealership.
Opportunity knocks in the form of a very questionable deal
involving accepting a quarter of a million dollars for allowing a
car to be parked on their lot for two days. Things quickly go from bad to worse, with plenty of violence.
The ending is a bit dodgy, especially if you think about it too
hard, (it just doesn't make much sense), but, for entertainment value, I've definitely seen many many
many more movies that were worse.
And I never would have guessed that this movie was
made for only US$8000.00.
Recommended if you're looking for something to rent.
