You want
honesty in dating? (See
what happens when you tell a girl you'll call and you don't) How does this strike you? As a
pick-up line, probably not something you turn to your
SO of several years and say at the end of a
romantic evening.
A friend of mine claims to have 'done' twelve women while in
Denver on
vacation, using only these
seven simple words to convince them. ..Of course, he later admitted to being a
bald faced liar, but it's still interesting to think about.
What if people really
spoke like this to one another? It would be great for
population control. And when and if people actually engaged in a
sex act, they could truly say they were
consenting adults, having been allowed no
illusions about what the act might mean or lead to. (Again, see
what happens when you tell a girl you'll call and you don't) We don't need a
Hallmark world. We need
a world where people say what they mean and make no
promises save those they have every intention of keeping.
If a boy were to say this to almost any girl, even after he'd
charmed her socks off, he'd get
slapped. And why? It's a silly
double standard (though it's probably equally silly that most boys would wet themselves in excitement if someone said the same thing).
My point is only that it's silly to be
coy,
play hard to get, whatever you want to call it. Just as it's
silly to
come on too strong, too fast. Rather, there should be a
happy medium based on
honesty and people's voluntary admission that, yeah,
sex is fun.
