In the National Football League, a stoppage of the game clock at two minutes remaining in the first half or in the game. If the clock runs past 2:00 during a play, the clock stops immediately at the end of that play.

The two-minute warning effectively acts as an extra timeout, useful since, unlike NCAA football, the clock does not stop on a first down to reset down and yardage markers.
