A humorous character on the popular PBS, British sitcom, Red Dwarf. I believe it only makes an appearence in one or two episodes.

A typical Talkie Toasterism:

Lister: We want no muffins, no toast, no tea cakes, no buns, baps, baggets or bagels. No croissants, no crumpets, no pancakes, no potato cakes, and no hot cross buns. And definitely no smegging flapjacks.

Toaster: Ah! So you're a waffle man!

Designed to engage its owner in any number of pre-programmed stimulating breakfast conversation. Stimulating, that is, as long as you want to talk about toast or toasting.

Resurrected by Kryten as a test prior to exponentially increasing the IQ of Holly, the ship's computer. Had until then been rendered inoperable after meeting with an unfortunate accident involving Lister and a fourteen pound lumphammer.

"Howdy Doodly doo, I'm Talkie, Talkie Toaster, your chirpy breakfast companion. Talkie's the name, toasting's the game. Anyone like any toast?"
