Remember the good-
old days of
Commodore,
386s and
486s, and the world without
Net? No 10Mbs
bandwidth to play
Q3A, no
RTSes, none of the currently so popular
multiplayer games... But it's so much more fun to play with somebody else instead of
playing
alone. And there came those split-screen games. The
screen is divided in two parts, one is for you and one is for your
friend sharing the keyboard, or one playing using the keys and the other using the mouse or joystick or some other misc. input device... it really had a feeling to be able to push, kick, or yell at your oppoment instead of just msging him a "Grrrr". And the fight for the better keyboard position, mixing up the part of the screen beloning to you... something those glittering games really miss nowadays.
