In the Rocky Mountains near Colorado, in little towns like Leadville, they do this with a more western flair. Instead of dogs, they use big, shaggy horses to drag skiers over jumps, through gates, and by rings that they joust for. Its a pretty stupid idea, but fun for the spectators! In Leadville, half the fun is watching the streets department take all the snow they removed from Main Street, and putting it back.
