According to WHATIS, PROFS means:

PROFS = paltry restriction of file space
PROFS = professional office system (IBM program product)

PROFS the IBM program was also known as NOSS. It is a horrible green screened terminal based system. It was still in use up to about 4 or 5 years ago. But then when I worked for IBM (UK) back then they still used OS/2 Warp (version 3.0) as the standard desktop environment.

Oh how the US Interns laughed as they booted up their Windows 95 laptops. OS/2 really makes Windows look perfect.
