Like predisposed, the word predilections is usually reserved for people whose behavior is antisocial, even though most people have some of these qualities.

There are many words in the version of English spoken in the United States that have become pathological by default.

Another example is the word intercourse, formerly used to designate "any type of sharing and interacting" It is now used interchangeably with sexual intercourse.

If you use the words "social intercourse" in conversation now people laugh like you are telling a dirty joke.
