Newspapers in Holland

The Netherlands is a small country which has about 16 million inhabitants. It does, however, have a total daily newspaper circulation of more than four million papers, which makes the Dutch one of the most prolific newspaper-readers in the world.

1) Belong to PCM; a large conglomerate of newspapers that also include Trouw, Het Parool, and the publisher Meulenhoff. Although each newspaper has its own editorial board, they are not entirely independent newspapers with respect to finances.
2) Contains the papers Nieuwsblad van het Noorden/Drentse Courant/Groninger Dagblad
